Obituary: Main Line Times

Sharon Lee Behrends died on December 26, 2014 after a hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Surrounded by friends and family she fell to sleep for the last time after living a too-short but exciting life.

Born in Arlington, VA and raised in Fairmont, MN she was one of two daughters of Jack and Betty (Behrens) Behrends. She received her degree in Psychology from Bethel University. She was an incredibly hard worker and always pursued life with vim and vigor. She found her calling in market research and business development where she created her firm, SLB Consulting, specializing in both large and small pharmaceutical companies. She enjoyed worldwide living and traveling and would return home to Minnesota every year to visit with her family. She settled near Philadelphia, where she solely dedicated her love and attention to raising her son, Anton. They both shared a tremendous love of animals.

She was unwaveringly kind and generous with her time and attention and was always the most cheerful individual. She had a phenomenal sense of humor and was quick to laugh all the time. She had a way of brightening up any room, whether it be a corporate boardroom or a friend’s living room.

She was loved very much by very many and will be sorely missed by all.

She is survived by a son, Anton Novehrends of Longmont, CO, her mother Betty of Fairmont, MN, and a sister Laurie of Excelsior, MN, as well as many relatives and good friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Jack Behrends in 2009.

Sharon was a beautiful soul and loving person whom I feel blessed to have known, if only for a short time. She will most definitely be missed!
