Tributes

From bloeses@yahoo.com (January 26, 2015):

Sharon was a beautiful soul and loving person whom I feel blessed to have known, if only for a short time. She will most definitely be missed!

From Audrey Scheier (January 26, 2015):

Treasure is usually associated with riches – gold and jewels – the stuff contained in pirates’ treasure chests. It can also mean something we hold dear. Sharon was my dear friend and I carry her with me everyday. She came to visit me in the rehab center after my back surgery a year and a half ago. My sister, the photographer in the family was also there. After Sharon passed, Sara looked on her camera and found photos of that day Sharon came to visit me. It was a mini photo session…cute, funny, serious, smart, lively…everything Sharon was. These photos are my treasure and ones I will send to Chuck so that he may post them for all to enjoy. Trust me, you will smile!

I will miss your unshakeable devotion to your friends. You always dropped every thing and came when I needed your help. Love you so much and learned so much from you! Your friend, Uzma

From Sabitha Pillai (February 5, 2015):

Sharon was a great source of inspiration for me. I miss her every day.

From Tom (February 24, 2015):

I miss Sharon, dearly. She was always so kind to me and my dog, who she trained during her afternoon walks. (Last summer, my neighbors teased me about well the dog behaved for her and not so well for me.) She was always smiling, always happy, always peaceful. Although I had only known her for about eight months, we kept in touch during her illness. In one our last text exchanges, she told me her doctor was excited about how well the treatments were working. She talked of her plans to visit her family in Minnesota and her son in Colorado. She seem so happy and I was happy for her progress and plans. We agreed to get coffee after her treatments ended. My heart sank when I learned of her passing in early January. Often I think of her and how she affected my life in short time. She was a wonderful, beautiful person. I am so sorry for your loss.

From Michael Holzer (May 7, 2016):

I’m so sad to learn of this news. Although I have not been in touch with Sharon for many years we were friends when she worked at Data Analysis decades ago. She was such a funny, charming and kind person and always spoke of her son, Anton. I know she will be missed by all who she touched.

From Nicole & Chris: (May 17, 2016):

We only recently learned this very sad news. Sharon was such a beautiful, kind, positive force in our lives. Our entire circle of friends in NJ and NY is heartbroken.

Even though we didn’t see her and Anton often enough after we moved to Europe, we thought of them often and always made sure to get together when we visited the States. Unfortunately, it’s been several years and (less unfortunately) two small children since we made that journey. Sharon visited us in London once (2006 or 2007) and we had a spontaneous guerilla karaoke session in a nearly empty pub that we always look back on with big smiles. (Anton, do you remember her bringing you an ostrich egg from that trip?)

We have so many great memories of her and will miss her forever.

Our thoughts are with Anton and the rest of Sharon’s family. Anton, I don’t know if you remember us (we last saw you in 2008), but if there’s anything you need, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you and we have some photos of your lovely mom that we’d love to share.

Lots of love from London,
Nicole & Chris
